Meeting the ever-changing patient needs for services at St. Joseph Medical Center, Verkler provided construction management services for the Medical Center complex. Over a seven-year period, we continually completed renovation projects as patient areas were transformed into numerous different facilities for the hospital. These new facilities in renovated areas included improvements to the lobby area, family practice, cardiology, gastro-endocrinology, oncology, radiology, urology, gastro-intestinal, OB/GYN, ultra-fast CT and staff locker rooms.
An Emergency Room addition to the Medical Center was completed in 1995 at a cost of $8,000,000 . This included facilities for the pharmacy, mobile MRI, post-operative and short-term stay. Shortly thereafter, a $4,000,000 /60,000 square-foot Medical Pavilion III building was constructed across the street from the Medical Center connecting the facilities by an underground tunnel. This facility provided space for the owner’s accounting department, family practice program and doctor’s suites.
